Good Faith Estimate
Side Quest Psychotherapy | Jenna Stone, LCSW-C
At Side Quest Psychotherapy, all clients pay out of pocket for services at the time of care. While I do not accept insurance or bill third-party payers directly, some clients may choose to submit claims to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Whether or not you plan to seek reimbursement, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before starting services.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, healthcare providers are required to offer a written Good Faith Estimate to clients who are not using insurance. This estimate outlines the anticipated cost of care based on your individual needs, preferences, and frequency of sessions. It is not a bill or a binding contract—it’s simply a tool to help you make informed decisions about your care and avoid unexpected costs.
You will receive a personalized Good Faith Estimate as part of the intake process. You are also welcome to request one at any time. Estimates typically include the cost of an initial evaluation, ongoing therapy or consultation sessions, and any additional services you may opt into—such as documentation, extended communication, or in-person support outside of session.
If you receive a bill that is $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges through a formal resolution process. You are encouraged to keep a copy or screenshot of your estimate for your records.
If you have any questions about your Good Faith Estimate or about fees more generally, feel free to reach out through a secure contact form. I’m committed to transparency, accessibility, and providing care that feels aligned with your values and needs—financially and otherwise.
