Advocacy Fees
Advocacy services at Side Quest Psychotherapy are billed at a flat hourly rate — no tiers, no sliding scale for advocacy work. What you see is what it costs. We’ve made gender-affirming letters free for therapy clients and pay-what-you-can for everyone else, because access to affirming documentation shouldn’t depend on what you can afford.
Advocacy services are not billable to insurance. Payment is due at the time of service through IvyPay, which accepts all major credit cards, HSA cards, and FSA cards.

Patient Advocacy & Healthcare Navigation
All of Marissa's advocacy services are provided virtually and available nationwide. Sessions are billed in hourly increments.

IEP & 504 SUPPORT
IEP & 504 Meeting Attendance
Jenna provides IEP and 504 meeting support both virtually and in person — and offers this service to current therapy clients (both the young people Jenna works with directly and the parents and caregivers Jenna is supporting, including through SPACE intervention and other caregiver work) and evaluation clients. Virtual sessions are available to anyone in those groups; in-person attendance is available in the Maryland area. GENDER-AFFIRMING LETTERS
Letters for Gender-Affirming Care
Gender-affirming care letters — including letters for surgery, hormone therapy, legal name or gender marker changes, and other medical or administrative needs — should never be a gatekeeping experience. Jenna writes these letters from an affirming, non-pathologizing framework. No hoops. No interrogation.
If you are already working with Jenna in therapy, gender-affirming letters are included at no additional cost. Just ask.
We mean it. Give what you are genuinely able to give. No one will be turned away because of cost.
