Eating Disorder Recovery Coaching
Coaching Fees
Recovery coaching at Side Quest Psychotherapy works on a weekly retainer model. Rather than paying per session, you retain Marissa Adams, IEDS — her availability and support for the full week: your session, your texting/email support, and her held presence. The retainer is the same every week, including your first. No separate intake fee. No surprise charges.
Coaching is not therapy and is not billable to insurance. Payment is due every Monday, any add-ons throughout the week are billed on Friday, and we accept all major credit cards.
WEEKLY RETAINER
What's Included Every Week
Your weekly retainer covers your core support for that week. At intake, you and Marissa choose the session format that fits how you want your support to feel — more session time, or more real-time check-ins between sessions. Either way, the retainer stays the same.
Shorter weekly session with more active texting support between sessions — snack reminders, real-time encouragement, quick check-ins throughout the week.
Longer weekly session with lighter between-session contact — more time to go deep in your check-in, less back-and-forth in between.
Not sure which fits you? Marissa will help you figure it out at intake. You can also adjust as you go if your needs change.

OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
More Support When You Need It
Either or both add-ons can be included in any given week — each is available independently for +$100/week.
Weekend Support
Weekends can be the hardest stretch. This add-on wraps yours with two short bookend check-ins — one to look back, one to look ahead.
- Monday check-in · 15 min · Weekend review
- Friday check-in · 15 min · Weekend planning
Boost Session
Sometimes one session isn't quite enough. A Boost Session adds a full 30-minute check-in during the week — extra support right when you need it.
- Additional 30-min session · Scheduled mid-week
- Same format as your regular weekly session
IF YOU ADD ON
How the Numbers Stack
Most people work with the base retainer. Add-ons are there if and when you want them — here’s how the math looks if you do.
| What you're working with | What's included | Weekly total |
|---|---|---|
| Base retainer — most clients | Weekly session + texting support | $150 |
| If you add Weekend Support | + Mon & Fri 15-min check-ins | $250 |
| If you add a Boost Session | + extra 30-min mid-week session | $250 |
| If you add both | + Mon/Fri check-ins + Boost Session | $350 |
HOW THIS WORKS
Why a Retainer?
Because consistent support is what makes recovery coaching work — and the retainer is what makes consistency possible.
The retainer isn't just a session fee — it reserves your place in Marissa's schedule so you're not competing for time week to week. Your slot is yours.
Recovery coaching works because of the ongoing relationship — not just individual sessions. Showing up regularly, even in quieter weeks, is part of how progress compounds.
Unlike a therapist licensed in only a few states, Marissa can meet with you wherever you are. Travel, time away from home, a hard week on the road — none of that has to interrupt your support.
If you're in a higher level of care — inpatient, residential, or intensive treatment — we won't charge your retainer while you're there. Reach out to Marissa directly and we'll pause things together. The expectation outside of those situations is weekly contact, because that consistency is exactly what the retainer is designed to protect.
“Recovery doesn’t only happen in a therapy room. Sometimes it happens in a kitchen, a dining hall, a grocery store — and having someone in your corner for those moments makes all the difference.”
